Sunny Florida

Hello from sunny S.W. Florida. I am spending time with my family this week in Florida. The weather is sunny and in the upper 60's. Very nice. Here they call that cold! Uh huh!

I ran this morning about 2 miles. It was my first outdoor run in quite some time. It felt good to be outside. There was a woman ahead of me, and I was trying to keep up with her. She was very cheerful when I did catch up, and we exchanged pleasantries. I wish more runners in Chicago would be friendly. So many listen to music, and do not acknowledge you as you go by.

This visit is my first since I lost all the weight. My stepmother said she almost didn't recognize me at the airport. My oldest niece thought I looked "cool."

I am trying to figure out where I will run my 8 mile run this weekend. The island I am on is not that big. There is a running store in the next town. I may check in with them, and see what they suggest.

So that is all for now. Time to go enjoy the sunshine.
