6 Miles....I'm Ok!
Today was a long run. I ran 6 miles. This was my first try at 6 miles. I ran it on the treadmill(very rainy outdoors) in 78:42. I did the run/walk combination. My left calf was a bit sore, but I worked through it. I felt good most of the way.
I think a key was relaxing my arms. I made a point of realxing the arms while I ran. I also found my legs ran better when I relaxed. As I got to the 4.5 mile, I just smiled and thought, "Only 1.5 to go!"
Next week the long run will be a 7 mile run.
