7 Miles...and Miles to Go!

Today's long run was a 7 mile run. I am slowly getting used to the run/walk combination. I run 4 minutes, and walk 1 minute. If I didn't do that, I doubt I could make the 7 miles at this point. I did the 7 miles in 88 minutes. Not bad. Of course getting the the final destination is the key.

I felt pretty good during the run. Good thing I had the massage yesterday. I am learning about chafing though. Time to get some Body Glide. The guy at Fleet Feet warned me about this, and I needed to get some soon, if I am running over an hour.

Next week's long run will be an outdoor run in Florida. I will have to figure a route while I am there.

So, you do about a 12:30 on your long runs. I'm doing about 11:30 on my short runs and about 12:00 on my long runs. Maybe you won't leave me in the dust at the Shamrock Shuffle. :)

I'm registered as of this morning (2/7/06). So you better start fluffing up the pillows on the couch. :)
