Recovery Run...etc.

Today was one of my short recovery runs. I ran two 1 mile segments on the treadmill. Both miles were done in 11:40. Not bad. I'm not really working on speed. this run was more about finding a good pace for me. I ran both miles. My next run will be a run/walk.

I also rode 2.6 miles on the bike at the gym. So it was a good cardio day.

My Runner's World magazine arrived over the weekend. It is one of the few magazines I read every single article. I love this magazine. I read and re-read it to make sure I understand what is being said. This month they talk about incorporating yoga into your routine. I keep thinking about it. We'll see.

I only did a mile this morning. I couldn't corral my brain. That is really the key to keep running for me -- getting my brain distracted so it can't override the "run" command!

Yoga is good for so many reasons. I started a weekly stretching class last week that incorporates yoga. You've made so many changes to your body in the last 18 months and yoga could help you continue to define a healthy relationship with your body.

Plus, it's another good stress-buster. You need as much help as you can get, given how much life keeps throwing at you.
