Hard Workout
Today I worked out and ran. This was the first time I used some of the exercises Josh has suggested with my workout. I used free weights today, so my arms are a bit sore.
The workout was a challenge as I leg pressed, shoulder pressed, crunched, and lifted. At one point I leg pressed 160 lbs! PUSH!
On top of it all I ran 2 miles. That was the toughest part, because I was pretty tired. Again I used the hill program for most of the run. That is a challenge. I suppose I would be ready for some actual hill running, though I don't think I will seek it out.
Tomorrow is a big day for me running wise. I will write more about it tomorrow. I do plan an early morning outdoor run if my feet are up to it.

Almost a year after my coach gave me some strength training exercises, I've actually started using them (all can be done at home).
Holy crap.
I still can't do the minimum on most of them that she recommends. It's embarrassing. But, as my hubby pointed out, that just means it'll be easier to make progress.
He's right. I did them for the 2nd time last night and I improved on 3 of the 8 exercises. Still not a the minimum, but better.
I especially loathe standing lunges.
I'll see if my next run is faster.
