July is Closed
Well the book on July is closed. I ran 34.99 miles this month. This is down considerably from a month ago, when I ran 58.3 miles. Then again, I have a job, and I have had to overcome foot and leg pain. So the 34.99 really isn't bad.
Today I ran at an easier pace than yesterday. Today's run was part of my ActivTrax workout. I ran 2 miles in 23:54.
The workout was pretty good. It was a whole body workout. The toughest one was the leg curls. I was able to press 165 lbs with my legs on the 45 degree leg press. I've done more, but this is a revised workout, so I am starting with smaller weights.
I needed a good workout today. I ate a lot yesterday. It was my one day to break free. I realized one thing though, my stomach can no longer handle the amounts of food I used to eat. This is a good thing.

May I ask what the challenge is? Is there a prize?

You've inspired me to push myself harder with my running. I'm in a women's track group, trying to improve my strength and running time. (I run a 13:30 mile) It will also help me gain strength for my hiking vacation in October (Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion).
In fact, last night when I was doing the track work and feeling miserable (hot, humid, and hurting), I said to myself 'if Charlie can do this, I can do this'.
Is there any way your long-distance running friends can train "with" you? Can we do runs "together" somehow? Is there a way to support you with our running?
It could be fun.
Documama -
I would love to cyber train with you. We can record our running, and talk about it. Sometime we need to run a race together - for real!
