3.1 MIles....Hey Wait! That's 5K

Today I ran 5K on the treadmill. It was just so darned humid outside. I ran it in 38:51:98. Not too shabby. For comparison sake, in my first 5K race last Halloween, I ran 5K in 45:09. So I am making great strides.

I really am not a fan of treadmill running. All I do is either watch the TV, or the time clicking away on the treadmill. Boring. Maybe once the swamp like feeling of outside goes I can get bak to some outdoor running. I prefer that.

After my run I sat for a few minutes in the steam room - I know kind of defeats the purpose of not running outside in the humidity. My friend Mitch tells me it's a great thing to do after a tough workout. It was hot, steamy, smelled of eucalyptus, and there was an old man lying on his back, naked, snoring. I think I'll pass on the steam room...or at least make sure no old naked men are in there sleeping. Sleeping? Yikes, he could shrivel away in there.

Tomorrow I train with Josh. I'm sure he will work me hard. I also weigh myself tomorrow. Should be interesting.

:-)Charlie
